The Katrina Tragedy

I'm not going to get on any sort of soapbox about who to blame, or what things should have happened, or which officials need relieved of their positions. No my friends, that stuff is secondary (and makes me pretty POed at people pointing fingers).

The important thing right now is providing support for those displaced from New Orleans, as well as those who are still in the area. While it wouldn't be prudent for all of us to fly down and try to help out, something everybody can do is donate funds to help the relief effort. A great organization to support is Northwest Medical Teams, which has an excellent track record of being very efficient with their use of resources. Not only do they minister to individuals' physical needs, but also to their spiritual needs.
