More Trippy Pics
I just got back from another weekend of enjoying my freedom, this time cruising to Washington, DC, with my brother David and cousin LaVonne. Yeah, it was pretty sweet, despite the $3.50/gal gas prices out here in the East. We definitely got our exercise, as the weather was very agreeable, which precipitated the decision to do the walking tour, forgoing any motorized transportation save that to actually get into town. Probably my favorite was the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Very, very impressive, the clock-like precision in which all the guards' movements are performed. The fact that the memorial includes real live people makes it much more dynamic and, in my mind, meaningful than some of the other ones. Here are a few pictures; if you would like any of these pictures, drop me a line; these are all sized down 50% to 1152x864.
